LOCATION: BROWNSVILLE MARINA DELI

Rich McCullough, Commodore, could not make the meeting so Malcolm Davis, the Rear-Commodore is chairing tonight.
OLD BUSINESS
The Rigging Day that had been set for last week was canceled due to bad weather. Malcolm will advise when the new day will be set. Rigging day is a time that you can get refreshed on how to rig the boats and make them ready to sail. It also gives us a chance to do our yearly maintenance on any old rigging and replace. Rich said that he will make a rigging video and put it on the website. It was suggested that such a video might already be on U-tube. Another suggestion was that the old manuals for the boats might also be on the web.
Review of last month’s minutes by Karen
•	Keyport’s new torpedo range. No times have been set but may add up to 100 total days a year they will mark off part of the water outside the marina for testing. Unk what the warning flags will look like but you can be sure that there will be Navy patrol boats out there enforcing it.
Treasure’s Report by Laurie
•	We are now at 9 paid members. There are still others that need to pay their yearly membership dues. We will be changing the combination to the boat house on April 1st and those that have paid their membership will be getting the new combo.
•	$2,113.00 total in fund. $966-general fund. $1,147 – new boat fund
•	$89 had been paid for our sponsorship of the foster child (no name yet) to join the CK Sailing & Rowing Club for the school year. We still need a picture for our website. Karen offered to pay for her Jr membership to the PSC, after her school year has ended and depending on a written recommendation from her instructor Steve Trunkey, so she can continue to sail and hone her skills. Sandy offered to sail with her too. We can also benefit from her as she can refresh our sailing skills too.
It was also suggested to extend an offer to the CK Sailing Club for a joint sailing venture for a day during the summer for a few hours with a bar-b-que afterward. Laurie will contact Steve Trunkey to see if this is viable.
Commodore’s Report (as given by Malcolm)
•	Rich has been updating the club’s website; officer info, minutes, links, etc.
•	The A-frame pulley system on the dock (called a Trebuchet) will have the directions on how to use it on the website
•	Has not been able to put the meeting info in the Kitsap Sun this month
•	Birenfeld trust- our club is not qualified yet, unk if we ever will be as we will have to make some major changes to our charter
•	Brainstorming sessions- getting some good ideas
NEW BUSINESS
Has anyone approached the Suquamish Tribe for a community donation (for our club)? Malcolm will call a former member to recommendations for a point of contact.
Several suggestions put forth for a new combination for the boat house. The officers will make a selection soon and the new combo will be given to paid members after April 1st.
Continued our Brainstorming session from last month. The suggestions will be written up and given to the officers for any further action.
Upcoming calendar for the club:
•	April 14th. 2nd Tuesday of the month for meeting. 7pm. Brownsville Marina Deli
•	April 19th, Sunday, 2pm-5pm. Dirty Boat /Rigging Day at the boathouse. Malcolm will make arrangements to have the boats and surrounding dock pressure washed prior to the meeting as it will make the rest of the work go faster and not everything will be wet.

•	May Open House – date to be set.
