The general business meeting of the Peninsula Sailing Club was called to
order at 7:08 April 11, 2006, in the Brownsville Deli by Vice Commodore
Malcolm Davis. 10 members and guests present.
Minutes of the March 14 meeting were read and approved with the added note
that the Club officers had met at the bank and signed the bank account
papers. Laurie reported that the 2006 dock rent of $691.96 had been payed
to the Port of Brownsville. We then had $2,060.79 in our treasury. 13
members were reported payed up for 2006, and Michael Henneke joined at the
meeting. Welcome aboard Mike !!
Attention !! - There will be a work party and boat cleanup at the Dock
Saturday April 29 starting a 10 AM. There will also be a short business
meeting - the last meeting before our open house on May 13. Malcolm
suggests we should be done by 1 PM.
OPEN HOUSE !! - Saturday May 13 on the Dock at 10 AM - ??. This is our
yearly quest for new members and a chance to tell the community who we are.
Bring your publicity ideas to the April 29 meeting.
Social Sail - Sunday May 21 - Meet on the Dock at 1 PM, Sail to Illahee
State Park for a BBQ. There will be a support/ tow boat along for
assistance if the wind fails us.
Other News:
Sheila Trunkey is now a certified Sailing Instructor.
June 3 will be the Silverdale Regatta that starts off the Silverdale youth
sailing program. Steve suggests we should take a Sea Lark to Silverdale to
show support and to attract new members to PSC.
The Lady Washington will visit the Port of Brownsville August 21 and 22.
This will be another good opportunity to get a couple of our boats out and
into the public eye.
Art Volunteered to construct a Sandwich signboard for use at Club events.
The lock combination on the sail shack has been changed. come to the work
party to get the new combination OR see an officer.
PSC decided not to participate in the Brownsville Yacht Club yard sale this
year on May 20.
